Rick Hampton Square Dance Caller

July 5th
After a couple of days of "catch up" Lawn, Chores and the like, It's back to the usual..........Tonight was GREAT..........
More on that in a minute.........Nationals were one of the BEST, albeit one of the least attended. No dress code police
FINALLY SOME SENSE!!!! , a great on-site food set-up and the best caller room/scheduler/logistics since the great job in Portland (Hi Les)  Gary Titus and his team (or was that family hehehehe) did a fabulous job of coordinating a usually impossible job, yet the callers ( the vast majority were present, a few informed Gary that they were unable to attend, in time, in advance- and literally no- no shows)...kudos to Gary for pulling off the impossible!!!!!!!!!!!
Back to tonight........I called the first DANCE ever (In 50+ years)  at one of the largest West Coast Christian Camps and some 250 staffers had a blast, We will do this again and a positive presentation to non-MWSD folks in the age
we want YOUNG.......The only bad thing was that the venue had room for 80 (maybe)......Yet that's just another day at work eh'

July 19th
A FUN last night for me at this Northern Ca. club,  The folks were comment on it being the largest crowd in months.
A nice surprise was seeing Hunter at the dance- We called a couple of tips together-I LOVE seeing teen callers!!
Anyway it's sad that the club could (would?) not  be able to give me a small increase for the future dates (about a half a tank worth) so it was the last for me.  Oh well
